Sempre
Looking for a slice of Italy in the heart of Stockholm? Head to Sempre on Mäster Samuelsgatan. This place is a truly delightful Italian coffee bar that blends authentic Italian café culture with a cozy, urban vibe. Take a seat at the window and enjoy watching all the fashionable people walk by.
By day, it's the perfect spot for a quick espresso and a moment of calm. But as evening descends, Sempre transforms into a buzzing local hotspot, especially on their jazz evenings. These events are lively and bustling, exactly how I like it, great atmosphere where you can sip, socialize, and soak up the music, and to complete the experience, grab a delicious pizza from the menu, it's the perfect accompaniment to the vibrant evening.
Haga Parken
Hagaparken is one of Stockholm's most cherished green spaces, renowned for its natural beauty and historical significance. Located just north of the city center, it offers a perfect escape.
Commissioned by King Gustav III in the late 18th century, the park is a prime example of the English landscape style, featuring winding paths, open lawns and picturesque views of Brunnsviken lake.
Me and my beloved use to take long Sunday walks here, a gentle tradition sharing a simple picnic including a sandwich and warming tea, on a bench, bathed in golden sun. Haga is perfekt for long walks with a Swedish fika in the Copper tents.
Astoria
Brasserie Astoria is a grand, international-style restaurant located in the heart of Stockholm, masterminded by acclaimed chef Björn Frantzén (of the three-Michelin-star restaurant Frantzén).
The restaurant occupies the beautifully restored premises of the historic Astoria Cinema, a landmark that first opened in the 1920s. The design team took direct inspiration from this cinematic past, creating an atmosphere that is both glamorous and welcoming.
I can’t remember how many times Ive been here for drinks and dinners. It’s a really nice place to share a few pizzas and a bottle of wine.
Supermarcado
Supermercado is a Spanish delicatess and restaurant located on Sibyllegatan in Östermalm, offering an authentic taste of Spain right in the heart of Stockholm.
It’s a true culinary haven for anyone who loves high-quality Spanish ingredients.
Many products are sourced from small-scale Spanish producers, making it the premier spot for Stockholm gourmands seeking the most exclusive ingredients for tapas, paella, or a simple, perfect Spanish picnic.
I always stop by when Im in the neighbourhood.
Nordic Knots
Nordic Knots is a contemporary Swedish Design House that has quickly become synonymous with luxurious, minimalist floor coverings. Founded by a family with the simple goal of creating the perfect modern rug, the brand beautifully translates classic Scandinavian aesthetics into textile form.
When I'm nearby I always stop by their showroom to say hi to a few friends working here.
Schmaltz
Schmaltz Bar & Delicatessen brings a much-loved slice of classic New York deli culture right to the heart of Östermalm. Located just steps from Östermalmstorg, this intimate bar and restaurant is famous for its expertly curated menu and cozy, bustling atmosphere.
The concept blends European and Swedish culinary traditions with a distinct New York flair, focusing heavily on cured and preserved delicacies. The menu highlights include delicious pâtés, charcuterie, smoked fish and essential New York staples like flavourful chicken soup. An absolute must-try dish, however, is their legendary Reuben Sandwich, which is consistently hailed by critics and locals alike as one of the best in the entire city.
I always go for the chicken soup for lunch, but that’s because I love broth and parsly.
Rheum X Hybridum
We use this fragrance, Rheum x Hybridum, as a room perfume at home at the moment.
For me, it is the definition of fresh and fine, immediately evoking the unique sensation of the freshly broken tulip stems. This is beautifully paired with the cool feeling of rhubarb, which lifts the entire atmosphere. It brings a clean, botanical freshness into the space, perfect for resetting the mood.
Brasserie Godot
Brasserie Godot is the ideal setting for any occasion. Whether you're catching up over a cocktail or settling in for a long, memorable dinner with family and friends, this is the perfect place. The atmosphere is cool, featuring a distinctive interior decorated with compelling text and art by Erik Eriksson.
Countless delicious moments have been enjoyed here, savoring lobster, fresh fish, oysters, entrecôte with French fries, and many glasses of wine.
A favorite place for sure!
PA&Co
Pa&Co is a cozy ”neighbourhood bistro”, the kind of place you can always rely on.
It's a harmonious blend of great food, music, an inviting atmosphere, carefully selected wine and always friendly faces.
This spot consistently delivers, creating the perfect backdrop for any evening out.
When it comes to the menu, a few items stand out. Their perfectly crispy Råraka (Swedish potato fritters) is a must-try,
and no visit is complete without the legendary dessert Gino, a warm, au gratin fruit dish that is simply divine.
